The target group: youth leaders, people working for youth organizations in Romania aged 18 to 30 years.
Main results:
• Increase awareness and access to information by creating a virtual platform for debate, responding to the need to inform young people about the role and importance of the European Parliament, the European values and European electoral regulations and rules;
• provide a set of electronic tools that will enable young people in Romania to date access to information regarding the European elections and their rights as European citizens;
• Implementation of 4 seminars in four development regions of Romania, through which young people will be able to take part in developing the Romanian society in general and the European one, in particular, by encouraging their participation in the voting for European Parliament in June 2009;
• Develop a series of promotional and information materials (brochures, flyers, etc..) on the Parliamentary elections in June 2009, in order to contribute to a better understanding and better information on European values;
• Organize a National Forum in Bucharest, at which European Parlamentars will be invited to participate in Romania, Romanian parliamentarians and other political, youth leaders and people working in youth organizations, in order to ensure exchange of knowledge and experience , of ensuring better communication between politicians and the younger generation.
